Torrejón has a privileged location close to Monfragüe National Park (less than 4 km away), inside the Biosphere Reserve that brings together man and nature.

The colours in Spring and Fall give it a unique harmony. In the Fall, the countryside starts to highlight its richness with acorns scattered in the wide slopes. In Spring, the blooming landscape, the smell of the rockrose flowers and the magic of the thymes bewitch the pastureland that blushes slowly into yellow shades.

Torrejón el Rubio was founded by the Arabs but no vestiges remain today from those times. Located between Plasencia and Trujillo, it was a resting area for those who made that journey by horse or on foot.
